• Q: Is the number of applications that I can download from the Application Library limited?
• A: No. As long as you are an active member of govascend.com, you can download and upload an unlimited number of mobile public safety software applications for free.

• Q: Can I modify applications published by other police and law enforcement organizations?
• A: Yes. All published applications (mobile field reporting, data capture or query forms) are fully editable with the govAscend Designer.

• Q: How do I upload a mobile police software application to the govAscend.com Application Library?
• A: In the govAscend Portal, simply select the mobile police software application you want to share, click the Share button on the top menu bar and initiate the publications. govAscend.com will guide you through the process.

• Q: How do I download a mobile field reporting application from the govAscend.com Application Library?
• A: In the Portal, navigate to the govAscend.com tab. There you can browse for mobile field reporting applications. When you find the right application for you, simply click download. The application will automatically transfer and show up in your Applications tab.

• Q: Can I try the service before I buy it?
• A: Yes. You can try Designer for 30 days. We also provide a free trial membership of govAscend.com where you can browse, download and modify applications at no cost.

• Q: What kind of hardware do I need to run the software?
• A: For your handheld needs, you can run the mobile public safety software on any Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6.0 device and Windows 2003 or higher for your desktop needs. To learn more, go to Our Technology.

• Q: Do I need programming skills to be able to design applications?
• A: No. An intuitive design environment with a graphic interface allows users to specify exactly what data is to be collected, the interface layout and look and feel, as well as the business rules of your application.

• Q: Do you provide support?
• A: Yes. govAscend provides 24x7 support.

• Q: Can I participate in the govAscend community if my organization owns the govAscend system and is not using it as a service?
• A: Yes. Any govAscend customer can participate and take advantage of the Application Library, and participate in the community whether they own the software out right or are using govAscend as a service.
